Be Wary of Freebies on the Web

If we had a choice, we would go for the free software we can get on the web. There are a lot of them around us and apparently a tempting offer to pass up. But while we are enjoying these options, do remember that they have limited capacity. While some can make do with them, you just have to gain open consideration for possible threats such as spyware or viruses that may come along with them.
Nothing in the world comes free without strings attached. As far as the web is concerned, it is all and the same. Be wary of them.

Actually, that is very true. Nothing in the world comes “free” as you said. Everything has a catch. It’s actually amazing to see the amount of things that are available of the web that are considered to be totally free. The real ironic thing is that while free software may have these things, a lot of startup web application services have no catch. Which makes you wonder.. what the catch actually is.. but many companies that are developing new Web 2.0 apps are targeting mainstream users at no cost (although some type of revenue model probably exists..)
There’s a lot of new stuff out that’s available on the web. Try out Springnote (http://www.springnote.com). Springnote is basically a free WYSIWYG online notebook. It has a nice UI and very flexible usages.
