Those big boring banners that sell you something on the top of web pages, and in comes widgets that are downloaded as free applications that are now being seen as the next innovation in online ads. They come with free games, clocks and a whole range of applications that are free but have a huge potential for ads due to their dynamic nature. They change their ad’s as they are constantly connected to the ad companies that they are always getting to show the latest products. They are hot and will be coming soon to a desktop near you. Just hope the technology does not turn into another nightmare as with most freeware, the risk for malware is high and that caution should be practiced when selecting and using them. Their nature of running in the background all the time also makes them ideal for spreading malware. They can also be used as add onto social web pages as people find them nifty to use and decorate their pages while they take the ad agency within them.
